Dental Technology is the art and Science of fabricating corrective replacements for natural teeth. Each restoration the technician makes, will be different and each must simulate the function of the natural teelh- There is a constantly evolving variety of materials, available for dental Technicians for recreating the appearance of natural teeth in fixed restorations (such as crown and Bridges) mainly ceramics,plastics, and metal alloys, for removable restorations (such as denture) and correcting devices. The technicians must understand physical forces, characteristics, and handling properties of wires and materials.

With the increasing demand for cosmic dentistry, there is a great need for Dental Technicians. The remand for. dental service will continue to grow, due to success of preventive dentistry in readucing the -indents of oral disease. With advancement in Technology and materials, there is an increased demand for restorative and cremetic dentistry. As a result, there currently is a great demand for dental laboratory technidans. The main duties of a dental lab technician include
